Visiting PH Mentor Guests at GMM No. 8

UAP Brunei Chapter had the privilege to have as its special guest Ar. Isaias 'Jhin' Tabuzo, Jr. in its 8th GMM. Ar. Jhin was invited by the Committee on Education from the Philippines to lecture on the design classes for the currently on-going ALE review class.

Ar. Jhin was a lecturer/mentor for the Special Professional Licensure Board Exam for Architects Review Class in Qatar from 2009 to 2014. He was founder/adviser for the UAP Qatar Chapter in 2010 and served as an adviser for the UAP MENA Region from 2013 to present. He was former Chairman of the Philippine Professional Organization (PPO), Qatar, in 2011 and of the United Filipino Organization in Qatar (UFOQ) in 2013-14. He is a listed Grad "A" Architectural Engineer in Urban Planning and Development Authority in Qatar. He was a Sr. Architect/Fire Safety Design Engineer in Sketch Engineering Consulting Office in Doha, Qatar from 2007-14. He was Project Manager/Consultant to the Quezon City Hall Special Design Group from 2003-04. He is currently the head of Planning and Design Department/Property Management Department of the Metrostar Realty and Development, Inc. in Quezon City and the Principal Architect of his own firm Tabuzo Architects/Consultants.

During the GMM, Ar. Jhin gave a short talk on the current trends in the architectural practice in the Philippines and valuable advise for OFW's who may want to break into the Philippine architectural scene.

GMM No. 8 was held on 18 February 2015 at Aiko Sushi Restaurant.
