Factory Tour and Technical Presentation by LSL Metal
On 29th of August 2015, the UAP Brunei Chapter was invited to the factory and manufacturing office of LSL Metal Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary company of LSL Sdn. Bhd., in the Salambigar Industrial Estate where a factory tour and technical product presentation was held by the said company. LSL Metal Sdn. Bhd. is among the biggest manufacturer and supplier of metal roofing and structural steel in Brunei. Their metal roofing products is made with ColourCoil steel which comes with 10-20 years warranty against color fading and 25 years warranty against corrosion.
During the factory tour and technical product presentation, the Commercial Manager of ColourCoil Industries Sdn. Bhd. was present to give in-depth presentation on their pre-painted steel products. ColourCoil pre-painted steel products are lead-free and coated using infra-red paint and cured using infra-red technology for long-lasting finish. Afterwards, the General Manager of LSL Metal Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Low Ser Yew gave an informative presentation of the products and services of LSL Metal and led the group to a tour of their factory. Mr. Low highlighted the capability of LSL Metal to provide on-site extrusion for projects requiring extraordinarily long roof spans. Another highlight of the presentation was their latest product, the portable cabin which can be used in various projects such as shops, home extensions, offices and even for 2-storey buildings. During the tour around the factory, the group saw the various extrusion equipment for the different types of roofing panels. Mr. Low also showed the on-site extrusion equipment tucked in a container van ready to move as required on site.
