UAP Brunei First Anniversary Celebration and Induction Ceremonies

The UAP Brunei Chapter First Anniversary Celebration and Induction Ceremonies was held on 6th September 2015 at the Starlodge Hotel, Jerudong, Brunei Darussalam.

Honored guests from the Filipino community in Brunei graced the event including the Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Mr. Meynardo LB Montealegre, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Melvin Almonguera, and other Philippine Embassy officials, Mrs. Malou Wong, Treasurer of The Filipino Association in Brunei, and Ms. May Abrera, also from the FAB.

UAP National President Ar. Maria Benita Ochoa-Regala was present along with other UAP National Officers, NEVP Ar. Rey Gabitan, SG Ar. Maria Nina Bailon-Arce and Chancellor of College of Fellows Ar. Miguel Carpio. The National Officers led the induction rites of the Chapter Officers and New Members for FY2015-2016.

Ten Chapter Officers and thirteen new members were inducted while nine awardees and honorees were presented with their recognition that night. This is the 2nd inaugration for Ar. Wario 'Jigs' Tacbad as Chapter President.

To commemorate the First Anniversary of the Chapter, there was a ceremonial cutting of the anniversary cake led by the UAP National Officers and the Chapter President as the Chapter Members looked on.
