1st GMM for FY 2017-18
The First GMM of the UAP Brunei Chapter for Fiscal Year 2017-2018 was held on 07th July 2017 at the Jollibee, Kilanas Branch, Brunei Darussalam.
Director of Committee on Professional Practice, Ar. Francis D. Nicdao, presented a short AVP from the recent UAP Brunei - Fiscal Year-end Gathering & Fellowship Night held last 10th June 2017.
Chapter President, Ar. Alan Filio, acknowledged the UAP Basketball Team who are currently playing for the Filipino Association - 2nd Inter-Organizational Basketball Tournament and congratulated them for bagging special award for Best Uniform. He went on to present the agenda for the GMM are as follows: Committee Membership, Chapter Anniversary & Induction, Chapter T-Shirt, Chapter Dues and Announcements.
Ar. Hernando Hautea Jr., VP for Plans & Development explained the merits of having a reshuffle of membership across all committees in order to create opportunities for creating new friendships as well as
gaining new experiences in terms of involvement in other committee activities. He then presided over the mechanics of determining the new committee assignments.
CP Ar. Alan Filio announced the tentative date for the upcoming Chapter Anniversary & Induction which will be held this 26th August 2017, Saturday (To be confirmed by UAP HQ). The themed attire for this year is Filipiniana. The Chapter currently has 3 inductees namely: Ar. Kevin Bacabis, Ar. Kelly Tajonera, and Ar. Suzette Pinalba.
Presentation of the proposed design for Chapter T-Shirt commenced afterwards. The winning entry based from majority votes is designed by Deputy Dir. of Committee on Professional Practice Ar. Charles Gloria.
Upcoming Workshop & Seminars under PUJA were presented to the body for possibility of earning CPD Points. However, clearer guidelines are being sought with regards to earning CPD points from these locally-organized seminars. The EB will liaise with UAP resource speakers to explain in greater detail how we, foreign-based Filipino Architects can earn much needed points for renewal of license.
Photo session was held per committee followed by a group Photo for UAP Brunei Chapter. It was agreed that subsequent GMM's will be held every 1st Friday of each month.
