BAROSSA Sdn Bhd TPP + 4th GMM for FY 2017-18
It was a fun and successful product presentation conducted by Barossa Sdn. Bhd. which was held at 3rd floor Bahtera Banquet Hall, Badi'ah Hotel, Jalan Tutong, Bandar Seri Begawan. The team of presenters were led by Mr. Gen Tang Hsu Ping, Admin./Business Manager, who introduced Orin - Niro Ceramic Sales & Services (M) Sdn. Bhd., which was headed by its Technical Manager Mr. Ramnai Ponniah. Mr. Ramnai discussed their products which include bathroom fixtures, systems and fittings. The next presenter was from Conwood Company Limited, Mr. Maetee Shoosakarchanai, Export Department Manager in Thailand. He presented various products such as wall sidings, fences, decks, eaves, sunshades and decorative stairs. After the presentation the UAPBN members participated in a lively Q & A portion.
After the technical product presentation, Chapter President, Ar. Alan Filio started the General Membership Meeting No.4 by presenting a short video of the 3rd Chapter Anniversary & Induction Ceremony held last 18th September 2017.
Going to the agenda proper, Ar. Christian Lester Serrano, Head of External Affairs Committee presented the theme of WAD (World Architecture Day) 2017 which is "Climate Change Action". To celebrate this year's WAD, UAPBN will conduct "Arki Eco Walk" - an amazing run and obstacle course activity at Bukit Shahbandar Recreational Park, Jerudong on 15th October, Sunday.
Ar. Lilian Tampoc-Peña, Chapter Treasurer then reported the financial status including IAPOA/Chapter Dues Remittances, GMM venue expenses, FAB ID renewal and CPD Seminar Fees. Next item of the agenda was the CPD Seminar on Design-Build Services & the ASEAN Architects Registry presented by Ar. Alan Filio, which will be held on 5th November 2017 at Brilliance Hall, Bangunan Habza, Kg. Kiulap. As discussed, the said seminar will start at 7:00am until 6:45pm and the attendees will earn 9 CPD points. A team from Manila will conduct the seminar. Ar. Robert Sac and Ar. Robert Mirafuente of the PRBoA will also be coming over to witness the first ever CPD Seminar organized by the Chapter.
Another agenda was the Awarding of Certificates of Appreciation for the Anniversary & Induction Events which were given to the Ad Hoc members/ Committee on Internal Affairs/ Ar. Jun Fontanilla and to the Chapter's Graduate Auxilliary members.
For the final part of the GMM, Ar. Filio made some announcements on upcoming events such as the PRC Summit which will be held on October 25-26 in Manila, and the next GMM no.5 - A product presentation by Mohan Carpets which will be held on 17th November 2017, Friday. Birthday Celebrants for the month of October were also acknowledged.
