Northstar Development Sendirian Berhad TPP + First GMM for FY 2018-19
A Technical Product Presentation was conducted by Northstar Development Senderian Berhad (NDSB) for UAP Brunei Chapter at their office in Spg. 584, Jalan Tutong, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. Mr. Jeoffrey Bumatay, Managing Director of NDSB, presented the potential of b-panel®, a building system of reinforced concrete insulated with expanded polystyrene as a competitive alternative to traditional brick or block construction.
According to the presentation, the b-panel® offers thermal and acoustic insulation as well as energy-efficient and quake-resistant characteristics. The semi-prefabricated installation process involves continuous application of concrete to form a monolithic, rigid and lightweight shell. As opposed to traditional brick or block construction, the b-panel® improves construction period significantly as proven by their completed projects using the b-panel®.
Immediately following the Technical Product Presentation, the first GMM of UAP Brunei Chapter for FY 2018-2019 proceeded with a call to order and declaration of quorum.Then, a brief AVP of the recent UAP Brunei - Fiscal Year-end Miri Trip held last 23rd and 24th June 2018 was shown.
After the AVP presentation, Chapter President Ar. Reynaldo Ramos awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the Committee on External Affairs, headed by Ar.Christian Lester Serrano,which organized the successful chapter outing.The Certificate was received by Deputy Director Ar. Christheart Corral on behalf of the Committee.
Then, the GMM proceeded with the main agenda. Chapter President Ar. Reynaldo Ramos announced that the confirmed date of the Chapter 4th Anniversary Celebration and Induction Ceremony will be on 17th September 2018, Monday. Distribution of solicitation letters to members followed lead by the Committee on Ways and Means Director Ar. Marious Anyayahan.
Proposed locations for the Yearbook photo shoot, namely the Taman Belia Skate Park, Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas and Berakas Beach Forest Reserve, were presented by Ar. Heric Nicdao, Director for Committee on Publication. The Taman Belia Skate Park was selected as the venue by a majority vote by the members. The said photo shoot shall be held on Sunday, 15th July 2018.
Presentation of the Chapter T-Shirt design proposals followed after. The winning entry by majority vote by the members was designed by Ar. Gilbert Sicat, Deputy Director of the Committee on Professional Development. UAP Brunei Chapter AuditorAr.Albert Abarintos proposed an Official Chapter Coat Jacket for further study.
UAP Brunei Chapter VPO Ar. Nina Torregosa presented the Budget Estimate for FY2018-19, which will serve as guide for sponsorship collection and fund-raising initiatives this fiscal year. Upcoming activities were announced, one of which is the CPD Seminar: OFW Journey to Home to be held on 29th July 2018, Sunday. Director for Committee on Professional Development

Before the GMM ended, UAP Brunei Chapter President, Ar. Reynaldo Ramos shared to the members the experiences and discussions during his trip to Davao for the UAP Kalig-On National Inaugural 2018.
