UAP Brunei Chapter 4th Year Anniversary Celebration and Induction Ceremonies
The UAP Brunei Chapter held its Fourth Year Anniversary Celebration and Induction Ceremonies on 16th September 2018 at the Badi'ah Hotel Brunei, Badiah Complex, JalanLaksamana Abdul Razak, JalanTutong, Bandar Seri Begawan.
Distinguished guests from the Filipino community in Brunei graced the event including the Chargé d’ Affaires to Brunei Darussalam, Mr. Pete Raymond V. Delfin, who was the guest speaker, and other key Philippine Embassy officials, representatives from the Filipino Association in Brunei led by its President, Mr. Rodolfo P. Adducul, and officers Mrs. Malou Wong, Vice President, and Ms. Mina Balios, Secretary.
UAP Secretary-General Ar. Ronnie R. Yumang led the charging of the incoming Chapter Board of Directors for FY2018-2019, while UAP National President Ar. Benjamin K. Panganiban Jr. inducted the new set of officers, namely Ar. Reynaldo M. Ramos (Chapter President), Ar. Charles Lyndsey N. Gloria (Chapter VP- Programs and Development), Ar. Nina Lao Torregosa (Chapter VP-Operations), Ar. Romeo J. Nabong II (Chapter Secretary), Ar. Albert M. Abarintos (Chapter Auditor), Ar. Yolito I. Amante (Director – Committee on Membership), Ar. Marious C. Anyayahan (Director – Committee on Ways and Means), Ar. Pedro L. Fontanilla, Jr. (Director – Committee on Educaiton), Ar. Francis D. Nicdao (Director – Committee on Professional Development), Ar. Heric B. Nicdao (Director – Committee on Publications), and Immediate Past President Ar. Alan F. Filio. Witnessing the oath were CDA Delfin & PEB Officials, FA Officers and Past Chapter President Ar. Wario C. Tacbad.
Two new members were also inducted that evening, namely (L-R), Ar. Harvey P. Aquino (formerly from UAP Cordillera)and Ar. Roland C. Oficiar (formerly from UAP Catanduanes)
During the awarding ceremonies, 3 chapter members were given recognition for their Exemplary attendance in all the chapter activities, namely(L-R):Ar. Pedro L. Fontanilla Jr., Ar. Alan F. Filio and Ar. Romeo J. Nabong II.
Awards were also given to the chapter members who have shown outstanding performancein their respective committees, namely(L-R), Ar. YolitoI. Amante, Ar. Gilbert C. Sicat, Ar. Pedro L. Fontanilla Jr. and Ar. Kevin O. Bacabis (not in the photo, Ar. Lester R. Serrano receiving the certificate on behalf).
Eight outgoing officers were recognized for their service and dedication to the chapter, namely(L-R), Ar. Hernando J. Hautea Jr. (VP Programs & Development), Ar. Rey Anthony I. Castillo (VP Operations), Ar.Alan F. Filio (President), Ar. Jennefer Pardilla-Gloria (Auditor), Ar. Lester R. Serrano (Director for External Affairs), Ar. Alan B. David (Director for Education)(not in the photo, Ar. JonaldC. Catapang receiving the certificate on behalf) and Ar. Eric S.J. De Castro (Director for Internal Affairs).
The two recipients for this year's Crystal Award were Ar.Dominic Cordova and Ar. Lilian Tampoc-Pena (not in the photo, receiving the certificate was Ar. Pedro L. Fontanilla Jr. on behalf) who were recognized for their more than 15 years of contribution to Brunei as Architects.
