4 BOD Members Participate in ASEAN Sports Day Celebration

The United Architects of the Philippines Brunei Chapter led by its Chapter President, Ar. Dominic N. Cordova has attended the ASEAN Sports Day Celebration organized by the Brunei’s Ministry of Culture Youth and Sports upon the kind invitation from the Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam. Joining the Chapter President were Ar. Romeo J. Nabong II, Chapter Secretary, Ar. Orville J. Dulce, Chapter Treasurer and Ar. Albert M. Abarintos, Chapter Auditor.

During the event, the each member states has showcased their traditional games and gave everyone the chance to play. The Philippines in particular did present the game of “Patintero” to the delight of the Minister of Culture Youth and Sports.

Prior the official start of the program, a zumba-like warm up exercise outside the Stadium was conducted to all the participants. The event was graced by Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan ,Minister for Culture Youth and Sports. Other notable participants present were H.E. Christopher B. Montero of the Philippine Embassy and the ambassadors and diplomats of the other ASEAN countries as well such as from Singapore, Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand and Malaysia.

Overall the event was full of fun. The celebration has started at around 7:30AM and ended at 9:45AM.
