UAP Brunei Celebrates World Architecture Day 2019

The United of Architects of the Philippines celebrated the World Architecture Day by having Photowalk with the theme, “Architecture…. Housing for all” organized by the Committee of External Affairs led by its director Ar. Jonathan J. Amado. The event was a group and individual photography contest that highlights site locations in Bandar Seri Begawan using the smart phones as the medium. Different locations were selected by each committee at the city proper to feature some of the existing housing settlements. After the photowalk event, representatives from each committee submitted their entry before 1:00 PM at the FA Office in Serusop. All entries will be judged by Pinoy Shutters Brunei Darussalam (PSBD), the invited photography group in accordance with the criteria.

Prior to the official start of WAD, the Chapter took the opportunity to hold their 4th General Membership Meeting for FY2019-2020. A quick run through on the past chapter activities for the month of September were mentioned and discussed to the attending chapter members by CP Ar. Dominic. During the short meeting, CP Ar. Dominic did inform also about the upcoming activities such as the National Architecture Week (NAW2019) that the Chapter will undertake in November. Though, details for the said activity are yet to be discussed and finalized by EXTAFF.

Under the announcement part, the CP Ar. Dominic has informed the membership about the Nominations for “Member Emeritus” for which the deadline for submission set by UAP National is on 22 November 2019. Any interested chapter members may approach the Chapter Secretary for the forms. Moreover, the Chapter will also participate in the upcoming FA Family Day Bowling games on 03 November 2019. Representing the Chapter on this event are Ar. Junfon, Ar. Rey, Ar. Nonoy and Ar. Romy.
