In Celebration of NAW2019 and Sixth General Membership Meeting No. 6 for FY2019-2020

In celebration of National Architecture Week 2019, the United Architects of the Philippines Brunei Chapter celebrated this annual activity by organizing a film showing significant to this year’s theme “Housing for All”. A short program was prepared by the Committee on External Affairs led by its Director Ar. Jonathan J. Amado. Invocation was led by Ar. Eric S.J. De Castro, the Welcoming Remarks was delivered by Ar. Dominic N. Cordova while the Closing Remarks was by Ar. Jonathan J. Amado.

Three relevant videos were played to be watched by the attending chapter members. In every video session completed, there was a quick question & answer forum from the video it has played. Chapter Members were so engaging and very much connected to what they saw. The message of the films are so essential especially that being an architect, the moral responsibility to give descent housing for impoverished families is something that needs to be addressed but with rampant widespread corruption practices from politicians and government agencies which considerably contributes to the housing problems in the Philippines will be far from over.

In the latter part of the program, the Chapter did conduct also their Sixth GMM for FY2019-2020 that was presided by Ar. Dominic N. Cordova, Chapter President. One of the important items that were discussed is the UAP National Awards 2019. The Chapter will ensure that it will submit bids on some of the categories where the Chapter may be qualified to sub

mit.
