Chapter Newsletter Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The United Architects of the Philippines Brunei Chapter has officially launched its first ever Newsletter at the Philippine Embassy last 26 December 2019. With the warm assistance from PEB, the Chapter held successfully their ribbon cutting ceremony in the witness of First Secretary & Consul Pete Raymond V. Delfin, Vice Consul Jayvee Arguillas and Ms. Rose Paz-Narvaja, Cultural Brunei Attache. Led by Ar. Dominic N. Cordova, Chapter President, other chapter members present were Ar. Romeo J. Nabong II, Chapter Secretary, PCP Wario C. Tacbad, Ar. Nina L. Torregosa, Ar. Yolito I. Amante and Ar. Gilbert C. Sicat, Assistant Editor-In-Chief.

In his welcoming remarks, Ar. Dominic N. Cordova has thanked the Embassy for accommodating the Chapter in holding the ceremony and at the same time for the support it has received for this endeavor especially from the Philippine Ambassador His Excellency Christopher B. Montero. Last but not the least, a special mention to the chapter members behind the newsletter who has tirelessly exert their effort in making this first ever newsletter turn into reality. Ar. Dominic added that it hopes that this will not be the first & the last publishing of the newsletter in the Embassy but a great start that would continue in the next fiscal years of UAP Brunei. On the other hand, in his short speech, First Secretary & Consul Pete Raymond V. Delfin further praised UAP Brunei for this another significant undertaking. He proudly mentioned the Chapter for being one of the active Filipino organizations in Brunei registered at the Philippine Embassy. The Chapter programs to educate and make awareness to the public (OFWs in general) about the architect profession and practices in the Philippines is truly a remarkable initiative that could help in elevating the profession of architect in the Philippines.

The newsletter is free and can be found near the PEB bulletin board area. The ceremony has started at 12:30PM and ended at around 1:05PM. Moderator during the ceremony was Ar. Romeo J. Nabong II.
