EAROPH Members from UAP Brunei Attends 27TH World Congress


Nine chapter members from the United Architects of the Philippines Brunei Chapter have recently attended the 27th World Congress (Virtual) with the theme: SMART LIVING 2030: SUSTAINABLE CITIES & COMMUNITIES. The event was graced by Her Excellency Maria Leonor Robredo, Vice President of the Philippines and Sec. Eduardo D. del Rosario, Secretary for Human Settlements and Urban Development.

Notable speakers from Australia, Pakistan, India Malaysia, France and the Philippines had shared their expertise in finding sustainable solutions and recommendations that can be applied to any developing cities that would like to adapt in this new kind of environment.

Led by its Chapter President Ar. Romeo J. Nabong II, he was also joined by Ar. Hernando J. Hautea Jr., Ar. Rey Anthony I. Castillo, Ar. Albert M. Abarintos, Ar. Orville J. Dulce, Ar. Lilian Pena, Ar. Pedro L. Fontanilla Jr., ArMarilette D. Balderrama, Ar. Noel R. Consular and Ar./EnPJeoffrey R. Milano, a former chapter member.

It was indeed a great success from the part of the organizing committee under the EAROPH Philippines spearheaded by energetic Ar. Star Florentino-Marudo under the leadership of Ar. Ana S. Mangalino-Ling.

The virtual congress has started at around 9:00 AM and ended at 5:00 PM in the two-day event.


EAROPH PH Members in Brunei had held a prior meeting to discuss the 27th World Congress at Ar. Tune’s Verandah last 26 September 2020.
