UAP Brunei Chapter - Sketchup Software Tutorial

The UAP Brunei Chapter through the program led by the Committee on Education, spearheaded by Arch. Jimmy D.G. Villanueva organized a Two (2) Session Tutorial for the Chapter Members who are interested to learn the software program. The 4-hours workshop was held over two consecutive Sundays, on 18th &25th of October 2020 at NorthstarSdnBhd, Simpang 584, JalanTutong, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam.

On the first Session, Architect Allan B. David, alongside with Arch. Christheart Anthony B. Corral gave an overview of how to import your 2D Drawings to Sketchup Software. Arch. David also guided the membership on the interface and the frequently used commands & shortcuts. To begin the workshop, the participants were given the same 2D Floor Plans with Elevation for their modelling exercise. Arch. Orville J. Dulce also assisted the Committee on the technique required to construct the roof structure.

David, Jimmy D.G. Villanueva, CriseldaBoller-Cabalu, Yolito I. Amante, Orville J. Dulce, Marious C. Anyayahan, Pedro L. Fontanilla Jr., Gilbert C. Sicat, Christheart Anthony B. Corral, Francis D. Nicdao and Heric B. Nicdao.

On the second session of the tutorial, Architect Allan B. David demonstrated the step by step procedure in setting up your render scene, application of materials, tweaking the settings to achieve the needed effects. The tutorial gave the participants the basic knowledge to successfully render their projects using the Sketchup software.

Lastly, the Chapter would like to extend its gratitude once again to Mr Joffrey F. Bumatay, the Managing Director of NorthstarSdnBhd for his kind permission for letting the Chapter use their facility as the venue for the software tutorial.
